HAVE A MARINE BIOLOGIST IN YOUR VERY OWN CLASSROOM!
Melbourne Aquarium is excited to offer the opportunity to have a member of the Aquarium’s education team visit your school. In 2010 we are offering new incursion programs, suitable for a variety of year levels.
Programs include:
Classroom Yabby Habitat (all year levels):
A marine biologist will help your students to set up a Yabby habitat in your very own classroom. (90 minute program)
Cost: $370
Expert Careers Presentation (middle years to VCE):
Have a marine biologist give a talk about their experience working with the amazing animals found at Melbourne Aquarium. (45 minute program)
Cost: $225
Squid Dissection (middle years to VCE):
Discover the internal and external anatomy of the cephalopods; one of the most amazing groups of animals found on earth. (90 minute program)
Cost: $310
DATES: Incursion programs run throughout the school term.
NUMBERS: The Classroom Yabby Habitat and the Squid Dissection programs have a maximum of one class (30 students) per session.
Additional sessions running consecutively at the same venue are priced at 50% cost plus materials.
For venues more than 50km from Melbourne Aquarium an additional charge of $1 per kilometre will be required.
